"At these prices, I was initially concerned that there might be hidden charges, as you so often read. With Bestattungsportal, there are no unwelcome surprises. Very knowledgeable and transparent."

Biodegradable urn with your chosen plant
Biodegradable urn with your chosen plant
A piece of new life for the garden. The lid of this urn first contains a little soil from the ground where it will later be buried, as well as a seedling of the chosen tree. Granules are added to support growth, with straw at the very bottom. Once the urn is in the earth and moisture enters, all three components mix and the tree seedling begins to grow. Because a tree's roots always seek the easiest route and the deceased person's ashes offer the easiest option, the ashes become completely penetrated by roots. The minerals in the cremated remains are also absorbed, giving the tree more vitality and helping it grow quickly. The urns are available with many different tree species, and unusual plants may also be chosen. These urns are available not only for people but also for pets, although cremation must of course always take place first. Abroad, the urn is often buried at home or on private property. This type of funeral is not yet available in Germany, where burial in a Ruheforst or ordinary cemetery would be the most obvious option. If someone expressly wanted to use such an urn, the cemetery administration would need to be asked whether it could be accepted. Alternatively, we exclusively offer "Tree of Life funerals": at a nursery, a tree is planted in a mixture of soil and the deceased person's ashes, and this tree can then be planted on private property in the usual way.

"Losing someone you love is very painful. Being able to design the coffin ourselves, together with the professional support we received, helped us enormously and made the death a little easier to comprehend. Thank you to your entire team."
