Memorials made from ashes

Fly into space and return as a shooting star

Become a shooting star and experience the universe

About this experience

Become a shooting star and experience the universe

The Elysium Star II mission promises a special kind of funeral. Your ashes (DNA can also be included) are stored in a Cubesat satellite, which is carried into orbit and circles the Earth for two years. The satellite then re-enters the Earth's atmosphere and burns up as a shooting star in the sky. We offer this form of farewell with a smartphone app that lets you see where those you love are at all times. The satellite carrying the deceased person's ashes is launched into space on a SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket. This will not be the first mission of its kind, but the price of a space funeral is lower than ever before on this occasion. Once the satellite has reached orbit, its position can be tracked using the smartphone app. Over a period of two years, the orbital urn should have passed over the entire surface of the Earth. As a special service, you can also receive free access to the new LIFE ID funeral planning app and an entry in the "Horizon" guestbook of life, so that those you love can visit you there at any time.
