"A sensitive and understanding partner who dealt very patiently with everything we asked about. That helped me a great deal during this time. Thank you to the women on the Bestattungsportal team."

A pencil memorial
A pencil memorial
Leave traces that others can continue to write. Some people want to remain part of life after their death. Having pencils made from their ashes offers a quiet, creative form of remembrance that continues to have a purpose. Up to 240 pencil leads can be made from the carbon in a person's cremated remains. Each pencil is individually designed and can carry the deceased person's name or a personal dedication. The set is not only a keepsake, but something that can be used. A specially designed urn forms part of the memorial. The pencils are removed one at a time and sharpened inside the box, where the shavings gradually collect. Over time, the box itself becomes an urn again, filled with material derived from the cremation. Use and remembrance are intentionally brought together. The pencils can also be used to create further keepsakes, such as a portrait of the person who died or a handwritten letter with personal meaning. The memory is not simply preserved, but actively continued. This memorial is intended for people who valued creativity, writing and the quiet mark a person leaves behind: a farewell that does not end, but continues to be written.

"No wish was too outlandish. Impressive! It was carried out very successfully too."

"Losing someone you love is very painful. Being able to design the coffin ourselves, together with the professional support we received, helped us enormously and made the death a little easier to comprehend. Thank you to your entire team."
