"I'm A Material Girl" Some women and men have embodied good taste throughout their lives. They are always consulted on questions of fashion or interior design, and a major purchase among their closest circle is rarely made without the approval of the "style expert". Their taste is exquisite, always appropriate and noticeable yet understated, and never ostentatious. We have now created the perfect farewell concept for precisely this kind of person. Together with those closest to them, we stage an "exhibition of good taste" tailored to the person who has died. We can display outfits worn for special or everyday occasions, for example alongside a photograph or short description of the "moment" or a particular characteristic. If you wish, we can even incorporate whole rooms or "favourite corners" from the former home and arrange them with care to emphasise their emotional significance. If the "shopping experience" also played an important part in their love of beautiful things, we can have the funeral-service venue converted into an exclusive boutique and fill it with a variety of mementoes of the person who has died. If they were a philanthropist, the funeral production can be divided into two areas. One is for invited guests and features very personal items that are not for sale, together with their stories, while the other is opened to the public and items are offered for sale. Alternatively, the two parts can be held on separate days. The proceeds could, for example, be donated to a foundation in the loved one's name, creating lasting positive value. The possibilities for remembering these women and men are almost limitless, and all hold enormous potential both for bereaved families and for society as a whole.
