A will with LIFE ID
A will with LIFE ID
A free will with LIFE ID. Writing your own will by hand. A will can be made without involving a lawyer, notary, other authority or public body. Anyone can set out their final wishes freely, at any time and in any place, in a will written in their own hand. A holographic, handwritten or private will must be written entirely by hand. The testator must sign at the end of the handwritten will. Without a signature, the will is invalid. In practice, handwritten instructions from testators explaining how their estate is to be distributed after their death appear time and again. If the signature is missing, the paper remains merely a draft and cannot be used as a testamentary disposition. The place and date should be included. If they are omitted, the will remains invalid. As a rule, however, both the date and the place where the will was made should be included for evidential purposes. If several contradictory wills emerge, only the most recent takes effect. The will is then uploaded to the LIFE ID app and, should the need arise, is immediately available to family at any time through the secure estate-planning service. The app forwards the released will to the selected family members so that the final wishes can be carried out and the estate administered.
