"A huge thank you to the Bestattungsportal staff, whose flawless organisation gave Grandma a dignified farewell. It was exactly as we had imagined it."

This biodegradable urn has the potential to shift how people, their families and friends see the finality of life, towards transformation and a return to life through nature. The urn is one hundred per cent biodegradable and made from coconut shells, compressed peat and cellulose. It can be controlled through an app, ensuring that the new plant or tree always receives enough water and sunlight. The deceased person's ashes are placed in the lower section of the urn, while the upper section contains tree seeds (fir or other seeds), peat and plant food. Only once the urn has been placed in the earth, begun to break down and the seeds have taken root do they come into contact with the ashes. The ashes then provide nutrients for the new life represented by the tree and become one with it. Alternatively, we exclusively offer "Tree of Life funerals": at a nursery, a tree is planted in a mixture of soil and the deceased person's ashes, and this tree can then be planted on private property in the usual way. As a special service, you can also receive free access to the new LIFE ID funeral planning app and an entry in the "Horizon" guestbook of life, so that those you love can visit you there at any time.

"A farewell meal on a platform, a little closer to the sky and therefore to our Lena. Thank you for making it possible."
